Democratic MP Dashnor Sula has declared that it is lucky for Albania that today the leader of SPAK is a person like Altin Dumani.
He said that Dumani is a man of integrity, he is not corrupt, and that he will be remembered as the first prosecutor in Albania who is in charge of organized crime and all politics.
" Unfortunately, your finding is real and due to being a small country and friendly relations, the conflict of interest is the first thing that is done wherever you are, do you have a conflict of interest?" They should not participate, those who are in the process of investigation and question the one who investigates them.
If a person is absent even at the moment when I will report and the resolution will be voted, of course I would be for them not to participate in the vote and I will ask for this in the procedure. You may have noticed that I am the only politician that no one mentions Duman's name for the sake of support.
I had the good fortune to know Altin Dumani, I was his boss and I have often said that it is lucky for Albania that Mr. Dumani is the head of SPAK today and trust me on this. I say this because, even jokingly, if a man or a prosecutor can put his father in prison, not if he broke the law, Dumani does not compromise on this point either.
I know him very well, he is a man of integrity, he is not corrupt and that Dumani will be remembered as the first prosecutor in Albania who is the face of organized crime and all politics and this should be appreciated ", he said in MCN .
He further added that from a legal point of view and the powers that Duman has as a prosecutor are equal to others, but the position shows that if you use it for good you can run the institution properly.
" I know some, not all of them, but I guarantee you that there are a few people like Dumani in SPAK, even with the fingers of one hand who I think are stuttering and I am convinced that later there will be some things to correct within them. Let's not expect SPAK to be amber, but for today it is the best of everything and for me it is unfortunate that the system like justice should also regulate politics ", said Sula.
Asked if we are killing Duman professionally, Sula said that the chances of this are zero, while he emphasized that 75% of citizens' trust is oriented towards SPAK
" This never happens because the justice system has one thing that is confirmed by the court and justice is given by the court, SPAK only conducted investigations and if a prosecutor makes mistakes that could be tendentious, the court is the one that fixes it completely and thanks to the decision of the court appreciates the work of a prosecutor and we have a shortage, a hunger for justice, that's why 75% of citizens' trust is oriented towards SPAK ", he added.
