Anticorruption Commission, Kulluri: Justice institutions are being threatened

The Anticorruption Commission has been described by DP as meaningless, one-sided and a threat to justice institutions.

Secretary for Public Relations Edvin Kulluri, through a status on social networks, says the resolution was voted on in Parliament without first consulting the opposition.

He emphasized that reforms that require intervention in the justice system cannot be carried out without consensus. Kulluri added that the position of the USA and the EU confirmed that the only way is to support SPAK.

"As it was understandable, the initiative of the SP for "anti-corruption reform" is senseless, hasty and one-sided! The Democratic Party clearly stated that the Anti-Corruption resolution contains dubious, unclear and unfortunately threatening goals for justice institutions. As evidenced by the oppositional attitudes towards SPAK of the Prime Minister, there are no conditions and reasons for a resolution to be hastily brought to the vote in the Assembly of Albania, without prior consultation with the opposition! Reforms that require intervention in the justice system cannot be carried out without consensus and even more so in opposition to the public perception that supports SPAK's work in the overwhelming majority according to all polls. Today's attitude of international partners confirms that the only way is consolidation and unreserved support for SPAK!", he writes.
