Former Democratic Party MP Dashnor Sula has once again identified Sali Berisha as the main problem behind the dysfunction and division of the DP.
In a direct connection to the studio of "Today, Live in Albania", Sula also commented on Salijanj's independent meetings with the citizens of Durrës.
Dash Sula stated that in order to defeat the majority, the opposition must be a counterexample, starting with the people at the top who cannot be individuals who have open issues with the law.
" We have said it several times and it has been done for months that the problem of the opposition remains and the citizen would say why are you dealing with the opposition and not with the majority. I am convinced that even today, when the DP is in opposition, two forces that should be their opposites function in the democratic system. In this case, we are at the same poles. In the sense that with the problems, with the problems of corruption that the majority has, there should be a different model to face, a model that the opposition should have and does not have. The opposition should not have people under criminal prosecution like the majority ," said Sula.
The former MP said that he has not joined Ervin Salianji in his independent meetings with citizens outside the PD program, saying that the end is clear. Sula said that it would be appropriate and right if Salianji would fight for Berisha's place, but not for Flamur Noka's.
" You can't fight the dictatorship and the narco-state with the same tools. From May 11, 2 Berisha's rostrums and 1 Salianji's rostrum. I have not joined Salianji because I have a clear end. If Salianji were to fight for leadership, it would be within his rights. He is fighting for 2nd place, Flamur Noka is gone, because you see they are fighting him from within, because the leader, to save himself, throws away everything, and those who have remained loyal to him.
If Salianji will fight for the leadership position, he has ground, he will have support. If he will fight for number 2, nothing will change. Berisha only once in his life came out of his political approach in 2005 that united the entire opposition. The DP itself has spawned many small right-wing parties that have fragmented the opposition. It happens that the leader's approach is extreme to drive anyone out of his house. The only power that is left in Berisha's hands is that whoever thinks differently has a different voice, he must be expelled or reduced , "said Sula.
Dashnor Sula also commented on the proposals received from the Socialist Party. He explained that these are job proposals in the state administration from party exponents. Sula said that he will work and contribute to state institutions.
" We need to have better, more devoted, reputable people. I left the DP because they closed the door on me, they cut off my head and legs when they didn't put me in the May 11 elections. I worked for 15 years in the justice system and now 20 years in politics, I will work again, in state institutions. Let a SP minister emerge that I have contacted, worked with or asked for a favor from. Today I am in other positions, I want to contribute to the institutions of the Albanian state. Of course, there have been conversations from different SP exponents who have offered me to work in state institutions. I have rejected some cases because they did not suit me ," said Sula.
