The Democratic Party has gone through many difficulties in recent years, but now is the time for the Democrats to strengthen even more to oust the Socialists from power, stated the member of the 'Brain Gain' department in the DP, Nikola Kedhi.
Commenting on the developments at the DP National Assembly meeting this Saturday, Nikola Kedhi said that the opposition should be closer to the citizens.
"Change is needed and we said this today. Mr. Berisha also said it," Kedhi declared on "Terminal".
"In the way we function, we will have to be closer to the citizen, we will have to strengthen that section that is the core of the party, we will have to open it, we will have to bring new sources, different capacities there so that we can serve the Albanian citizen as best as possible. Then there will be new names in the leadership. This will depend on the candidacies that the party chairman will present according to the statute and how the National Council will vote."
The Democratic Party held its National Assembly meeting on Saturday, May 30, just one week after the re-election of Sali Berisha as head of this political force.
The works began with the message of an avatar created by the AI department at the Democratic Party, conceived as a digital image of Gjergj Kastrioti-Skënderbeg.
Then the works continued with the approval of the Commission that is leading the Assembly, as well as the Technical Secretariat. After a series of speeches, the National Assembly approved the changes to the new statute as well as the platforms for parliamentary elections, the diaspora and the digitalization of the party. Today, the DP leadership is also expected to be elected, after voting for 200 new members of the National Assembly.
