Interior Minister Taulant Balla did not testify in the Investigative Commission about the TIMS data.
Although the session lasted for several hours, the chairman of the Investigative Commission for the TIMS System, Ervin Salianji, has announced that the hearing with the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, will be postponed to another day. The Commission will continue with the other witnesses.
In a statement to the media, Salianji said that the socialists refused to continue the meeting, as according to him they are afraid to face the truth.
"You have to come and appear there, otherwise you will go to criminal prosecution. You were all in open media that the SP requested that the meeting be held with deputies who do not have a security certificate, but the meeting be closed. These same deputies say that postpone the meeting because we do not have a security certificate. I do not violate the law to cover anything. It is the decision of the SP, it was boycotted by the other witnesses They are waiting in line. There is a decision of the prosecutor's office that brought Ervin Muca, they want to put him on the calendar not to answer", said Salianji
The session with Minister Balla was postponed as some MPs must be provided with a security certificate, because there was classified information.
"The meeting is open and the continuation of the meeting is done according to the law. Those who do not respect it will be deposited in SPAK for persons who abandon their duties. Since the Minister of the Interior has a certain request and says that he has classified information, we have proposed to postpone the meeting with the minister until he is equipped with a security certificate and to hold the meeting with the other witnesses. They do not accept, because Muço has come to them there and they are afraid to face them", said Salianji.
