After more than two hours of debate in the Investigative Commission of the TIMS system, the chairman Ervin Salianji has accepted the request of the Minister of the Interior Taulant Balla that the meeting during his testimony take place behind closed doors.
After rejections and clashes with SP deputies, Salianji has agreed to put Balla's request to a vote, which was approved by a majority of votes.
Now, Minister Taulant Balla will testify behind closed doors.
Balla emphasized that the "TIMS" case is the subject of a criminal investigation and therefore the data cannot be made public due to the investigative needs related to this ongoing criminal proceeding.
Also, it was decided that only deputies who are equipped with security certificates will be present. Most of the deputies are equipped with security certificates, but those who do not have them will be forced to leave the meeting.
We recall that the vice-president Tonin Gogu opposed the deputy of the Democratic Party, Ervin Salianji, asking him to put Balla's request to a vote, as he added that this commission is a place of work and not a spectacle.
Minister Taulant Balla, Police Chief Muhamet Rrumbullaku and the person accused of entering the system, Ervin Muça, were expected to testify today.
