A day after resigning as mayor of Vlora, Ermal Dredha went to the Socialist Party National Assembly being held at the Palace of Congresses.
He was questioned by journalists who were increasingly interested in the reasons for his resignation.
Dredha stated that he will continue to be a socialist.
"I was born a socialist and I will always be a socialist," said Dredha.
Ermal Dredha, through a Facebook post, sent a message to the citizens of Vlora and Prime Minister Edi Rama after resigning as mayor of the city.
"My resignation comes as an act of reflection and responsibility. The current circumstances, family and personal, as well as political and administrative ones, lead me to believe that my resignation is the right action at this moment," Dredha said in his post.
