Prime Minister Edi Rama thanked Lindita Nikolla in the opening speech at the SP Congress, after the latter resigned as speaker of the parliament in the last plenary session.
"I want to stop to greet and thank you on your behalf, Lindita Nikolla. She served as the president of the assembly in 3 difficult years of parliamentary life, she did her best." emphasized Rma among others.
Lindita Nikolla has resigned from the position of Speaker of the Parliament while speaking in the Assembly, revealing that the reason for this resignation is related to a personal health situation.
Often placed in the center of verbal attacks from the opposition, Nikolla said that beyond the acts of theatrical politics, she will leave that hall with a good feeling of respect for everyone.
"Fortunately, beyond the acts of theatrical politics here in this hall, where I also received some undeserved verbal attacks, from working outside the cameras I have the good feeling of the respect that you all have given me", said Nikolla.
Nikola closed her message with a plea that her departure not be politically speculated, while thanks also went to Prime Minister Edi Rama.
