The Assembly has approved the work calendar for the period June 9-June 30, and the case of Olta Xhaçka is not included in this calendar. Meanwhile, in July, the Assembly closes its work...

The majority is being invested with "flesh and soul" to save Olta Xhaçka from the removal of the mandate. For 1 year, the Assembly is only dragging its case, although the facts are clear.

According to the opposition, Olta Xhaçka is in a conflict of interest, as her husband has become a strategic investor. The DP made a request for removal of the mandate, but the majority absurdly overthrew it and the case went to the Constitutional Court. The latter stated that the Constitution was violated, as it clearly states that the Assembly must take the case to court. For this reason, it was requested to approve the DP's request. However, the majority since the beginning of the year is only dragging out the process. The last session was on Friday of last week and there was an openly protracted development.

The Council of Legislation decided to give 3 weeks to an expert requested by the majority to analyze the decisions of the Constitutional Court.

The expert called by the Assembly, Krenar Loloçi, a professor of constitutional law, accepted the task from the Assembly and asked for 3 weeks to prepare a report on the two decisions of the Constitutional Court taken in January.

But his commitment was opposed by opposition MPs, who called the decision of the parliamentary majority a mockery of the expert and the Constitutional Court and an aim to protect their colleague from the removal of the MP's mandate.

But why was it postponed for three weeks? It seems that the strategy is to postpone the issue of Xhaca's mandate until September. The Assembly has approved the work calendar for the period June 9-June 30, and the case of Olta Xhaçka is not included in this calendar. On June 30, the new calendar is approved, which will be until the end of the session. According to information, the new session closes in mid-July. Since the expert requested 3 weeks of time, but considering that the Council of Legislation will have to hold several meetings until a conclusion is reached, this issue cannot be included in the calendar.

So the whole game of procrastination has been for Xhaçka to stay with his mandate even during these summer vacations. Avazi is expected to resume in September, but it is certain that the minister will not be able to stop until 2025 when the elections are held. The constitutionalist spoke clearly and no matter how much the majority delays the decision, there is no going back. / Pamphlet
