Historian Pëllumb Xhufi stated that there is a political rivalry between the Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama and that of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, while adding that both leaders must find a common language.
He made the statements during an interview for News24, where, among other things, the historian said that Prime Minister Rama should be more careful with his choice of words, referring to the statement that 'North of Kosovo, no man's land'.
Excerpt from the interview:
Xhufi: Let's take things in turn. He did not say that 'Kosovo is no man's land', but for their generation of three cities, he meant that it is difficult for the law to work there and this is a fact. However, he should choose the right words, not use too much color, let it be without color.
Xhufi: There is definitely a rivalry between them. There is a personal matter. They are both young, formed, a self-esteem for themselves and have done things that should be appreciated. But here one has to get out of oneself and see what is happening around. We must definitely find the language that it was made as an occupation of chilimin. The football match was a good occasion to be together. Even in moments of irritation, both of them knew how to come together, even for the eyes of the world. It's depressing to see them attack each other.
Xhufi: What will they win? Two countries with big problems will win.
Xhufi: Without reforming the EU itself, it seems that it is practically not working. He cannot make the right decisions, but he is blocked. See the case of North Macedonia. I am to be closer to help more and for our case. To put it bluntly, the integration of Albania should not be hindered by a vote of Greece. See how funny this is?
