But the name of Engjëll Agac was brought up by his fellow villagers in Roskovec these days, during the protest against the decision of the government and the municipality, for the construction of a complex with three TECs in the residential area "Suk-1".
Official procedures have begun to approve this serious environmental crime, which will destroy 700 hectares of land and greenhouses, livestock farms and water resources; as well as it will poison the lives of 35,000 residents of the Suk-1 unit, all residents of the Roskovec Municipality and the villages of the Dimal Municipality.
After guaranteeing the approval from the National Council of the Territory, which depends on the Prime Minister and the permit is being kept secret, Skuthi Engjëll Agaçi ordered the mayor of Roskovec, Majlinda Bufi, and the councilors of the SP to approve the construction of the complex of 3 TECs with gas and fuel oil .
On March 26, 2024, in a 10-minute meeting of the Roskovec City Council surrounded by police and threatening opposition councilors; SP councilors approved the permit for the construction of Engjëll Agaçi TPP, with false environmental reports and without any consultation with the residents.
Residents of the villages Suk-1, Suk-2, Arapaj, Strum, Velmish, Drenovicë, Samaticë, Rrëzë, Gorican, Kutalli, etc., during the protest in front of the Municipality of Roskovec on the day of approval of the permit, declared that the gas-fired thermal power plant complex mazut, which will be built in the Suk-1 area, is Engjëll Agac's investment and business.
This one is disguised behind the firm "Shëlqimi 07" of the builder Agron Kapllanaj, the crucible of Engjëll Agac and the former mayor of the Municipality of Ballshi and the former servant of Sali Berisha, which during the rule of Edi Rama, received 56 million Euro tenders.
But the opposition councilors have released the name of the oligarch Bashkim Ulaj; which, with the firm "Gener-2 Sh.pk" will invest the complex of TECs in Roskovec and will be a partner with Engjëll Agaçin to the extent of 35%, while the firm "Shëlqimi 07 Sh.pk" of Agron Kapllanaj, will be in /works contractor.
On April 24, 2024, during a meeting with the SP in Fier, the political leader of this region, Taulant Balla, said that the TEC complex in Roskovec will not have any impact on the environment of the area and will serve the economy of the entire Roskovec-Patos-Dimal area, but in reality, 90% of the energy produced will be exported to Greece.
