Prime Minister Edi Rama is today at the WB6-European Union Investment Forum, at the Regional Artificial Intelligence Hackathon 2025 activity that has brought together 161 participants from across the Western Balkans and the diaspora, with the aim of developing concrete solutions based on artificial intelligence (AI) for real societal challenges.
In his speech, the head of government stated that the government is open to cooperating with innovators, while revealing the plan to create a powerful accelerator in support of the AI Minister of Rama's cabinet, Diella.
"We have agreed to move the process forward by opening the doors of government to all innovators and by creating a common space with the agency of excellence that we have recently created as a core. This means that start-ups and innovators will have the opportunity to access institutions and see the problems up close and use statistics and that dough that is then the basis of solutions through AI.
I believe that by doing this, what always happens in this field will happen, we will learn many new things from each other and we will produce new products. We have the challenge of creating a very powerful accelerator in support of Diella, the AI Minister, an accelerator that will be based on you, the human capital that we have within AKSHI and we will try to expand the brain of every institution through AI, this is the plan.
