This Monday, at 10:00, the Vlora Municipal Council will meet, which will also discuss on its agenda the decision to elect one of the deputy mayors of Vlora municipality in the role of temporary mayor of Vlora municipality until the next elections in this municipality.
Klea Lalo, Irena Toshkallari and Elis Halili are the three names that will be voted on today by secret ballot as to which of them will become interim president.
It is learned that the most preferred candidate from the Municipal Council is Elis Halili, appointed just a few days ago as vice-mayor, a few minutes before Dredha's resignation, who is currently responsible for projects and infrastructure in the city.
This move by the Council comes after Ermal Dredha resigned as mayor of Vlora. Dredha had recently become Rama's "target" because he did not go along with the Prime Minister's "whims".

In his letter to Prime Minister Rama, the resigned mayor of Vlora emphasizes that his resignation comes as an act of reflection and responsibility, as well as being his most appropriate action at this moment.
"The current circumstances, family and personal, as well as political and administrative, lead me to believe that my resignation is the right action at this moment," he emphasizes.
