Balluku case in Constitutional Court, Berisha: Decision will be made with 5
Sali Berisha meets with DP structures

Democratic leader Sali Berisha announced on Friday afternoon that the Constitutional Court will rule with 5 votes in favor of Prime Minister Edi Rama, regarding the appeal he has filed with this court, following the decision of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo (GJKKO), to suspend Belinda Balluku from government functions.

During a meeting with the structures of branches 8 and 10 of the Democratic Party in Tirana, in the context of the February 10 protest, Berisha said that the Constitutional Court will vote in favor of Edi Rama.

" Today, as we gather here, the criminal organization votes against the most vital interests of every Albanian citizen. It votes for a group of thieves, which Albania has never had in history, which has stolen billions and billions, to continue to steal billions more."

"Edi Rama, in order to protect his crimes, orders, and with 5 votes decides to protect his chair at all costs, to protect himself from theft because Lubia is just a fictitious name, the affairs are Rama's above all and hers after all ," said Berisha.

Berisha's statements regarding this issue come at a time when since noon, the 8 members of the Constitutional Court have gathered in the consultation room, the 3rd meeting in two weeks, to make a decision regarding the appeal of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Rama addressed the Constitutional Court to resolve the dispute created between the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers on the one hand, and the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, on the other hand, regarding the suspension of the exercise of the duties of a member of the Council of Ministers.

According to legal deadlines, the Constitutional Court has 30 days to make a final decision, a deadline that expires on February 22. It is not known whether the Constitutional Court will use all the time it has available to make a decision, but it has also conditioned the decision-making in the Council of Mandates and Immunities regarding another SPAK request for Balluk.
