Tomor Alizoti, the political leader of the Democratic Party in the Elbasan Region, declared that SPAK will fall after the May 11 elections if it does not arrest crime bosses.
"I was among the few who did not criticize SPAK, but for me SPAK falls after the elections. If SPAK does not arrest all the crime bosses now, who everyone knows, so that the elections are not disrupted, for me it does not exist. It is falsehood and theater," Alizoti told "A2 CNN".
Alizoti also said that change in Albania cannot come from one institution alone. He adds that SPAK should not deal with small fish, but should hit criminal groups.
"I have always been a skeptic because change in Albania cannot come from just one institution. It is difficult for a judicial structure to hit the prime minister. If SPAK were to be efficient, it should deal with criminal groups, not small fish. For me it is theater because criminal groups are now cartels. Even the police are involved," Alizoti added.
