The deputy of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, clarified the circumstances of the clash with Basha in the Assembly, at the moment that the speaker Lindita Nikolla announced the new chairman of the DP parliamentary group.
Bardhi said that the debate was instigated by Basha, who, although he had signed the document for the change of the head of the group in the Parliament, told Tabak that he had no knowledge because he was not involved with the procedures. Despite the seriousness of the situation, Bardhi showed that the fight within the PD obviously does not make him feel proud.
Excerpts from the debate:
Duma: You mentioned it and repeated it funny, but by God, what did you say to Basha on the seats in the Parliament, that you almost threaten him and he doesn't react?
Badhi: Actually, I don't want to say what conversations we had. Such a scene obviously does not make me proud because I am not there to argue with Mr. Basha. At the beginning of the session, we had a very normal communication. We were greeted as I have been greeted with every colleague until the moment Mrs. Nikolla read the announcement signed by Mr. Basha.
At that moment, colleague Tabaku asked him: "What is this document that you brought to the Assembly?"
Duma: Even Tabaku didn't know anything?
Bardhi: We knew that the letter had arrived because we have so much information in the Assembly. But she asked him "what is this document that you signed?", and with absolute calm Basha answered "I have no idea, I don't deal with the procedures". While he had signed the letter himself.
At the moment when the Speaker of the Assembly spoke, I did not make any kind of reaction, but simply pressed the button to request the floor for the procedure. At that moment, of course, Mr. Basha thought that I would oppose that act, and he turns to me and says "give me a piece of advice. There is no need to argue and fight. Stand up and take the floor as the chairman of the parliamentary group that you are." But this act and this kind of behavior without a muscle twitching on his face, I considered hypocritical. So he puts us in a completely uncomfortable situation for the MPs and the group, and after he has done the action, he asks me to take the floor as group leader while he has signed a document that shows that he is the leader of the DP parliamentary group.
