The leader of the Republican Party, Fatmir Mediu, spoke about the opposition's position in September and the new parliamentary session.
Mediu stated that an analysis should be made of the May elections, following the ODIHR report, while responding to rumors about Berisha's departure, he said that currently there is no figure who can unite the DP and the opposition as a whole, except for him.
" To do an analysis of the elections, an ODIHR report is needed. The DP must analyze who the problems were. I do not judge the rules within the DP. If Berisha is asked to leave, I do not think there is an authority that can unite them in a single front. We cannot commit suicide because we will be resurrected like Christ. No matter how hot September will be, I think the opposition must be wise to create a conviction among the citizens and the opposition factor. We have discussed an action plan... We are in a coalition with the DP, if other parties were included, the result would be even better ," said Mediu.
