Democrat Dashnor Sula's stance regarding the situation within the DP is radical. Sula said that unless there is a radical change within the DP regarding its leaders, replacing them with new names that received more votes in the elections, the opposition cannot come to power even after 50 years.
"It is unfortunate in the situation the opposition is in today. It is a grim situation and I see it as bad. I am not someone who hates or has personal things. I have said it many times, a model will be needed for citizens to vote. Citizens must come first and politicians afterwards. Such an outcome has been predicted. I had predicted it since July 2024. I have said that what the DP is doing is political suicide, with the closing of the lists, the system is blocked. The elections showed that citizens voted for honorable politicians, such as Tabaku or Alimehmeti, or Dhurata Çupi.
Albanian citizens want honorable people at the top, not corrupt ones. It was a list without values, only with appointments, without contributions. Citizens are not stupid, to vote for a political force that has the party for personal interests. This thing must be separated. This is a dirty political game, by Berisha and other representatives of the DP. At the time when Dhurata Çupi and three other deputies, we asked to go on hunger strike, but they did not want to. It was just a game. These people do not intend to change anything. There should have been radical changes, and those who had the highest number of votes should be at the top. Sula said that burning mandates is not a solution. He emphasized that as long as Berisha is at the head of the DP, Rama should sleep peacefully.
