The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, held a meeting with the party structures in Fier, in the role of the political leader of the district.
According to Balla, the SP intends to have an even deeper victory in the next elections than that of the last electoral confrontation.
The minister underlined that the SP in every election has received more votes than in the previous elections, adding that it has more energy so that the result in the parliamentary elections of 2025 will be even better than that of the previous elections.
"Power, or the force that has the majority in the Assembly, is determined only by elections and by the vote of Albanian citizens. If you take a look at the election results, SP, in every pair of elections, received more votes than in the previous elections. So we received more votes in 2017 than in 2013, more votes in 2021 than in 2017, and therefore this organization and this massiveness that you see here today is related precisely to the effort that the SP, in the 2025 elections, maximally, we have a better election result than the one we had. So I don't see fatigue at all, but I see more energy and the need to dynamize the SP", said Balla.
Asked if they see Sali Berisha's going out on the balcony in front of the militants as a challenge, Balla said that this is not the case, but emphasized that what the former prime minister is doing is unacceptable according to the Criminal Code in Albania, since a person who he is under house arrest, he is not allowed to communicate with other people except family members.
"I have called this thing unacceptable in the interpretation of this; you remember them better than me and what I communicate here with you in reading word for word and letter for letter what the Criminal Code in Albania provides. Since I am in a political activity, I wish that he does what you say every day, because we enjoy it!", said Balla.
