Nancy VanHorn responds to Edi Rama about "Chinese honey"....
The United States of America has sent a scorching message to Edi Rama, following his flirtations with China .
After mocking Trump in the presence of Macron, on January 12th, Edi Rama decided to play with fire again. While presenting a wind farm in Tropoja, Rama winked at the Chinese.
" If Albania were not so potentially important, the Chinese, who are the oldest civilization and the most indisputable traders, would not have set their sights on it and would not consider Albania as their 'honeymoon spot ,'" Babloku said. And he did not say this in a closed conversation with investors, but in the presence of the US Chargé d'Affaires in Tirana, Nancy VanHorn.
" Based on China's thousands of years of wisdom and based on America's experience and hunger for profit, we are definitely the right place, at the right time for you and everyone else who needs to come here to this small market, to capture the big market that is outside the borders of this small country ," he added.
But this was an open challenge to the US and today the response has come. Charge d'Affaires Nancy VanHorn, at an event to promote American communications technology, made it clear to Edi Rama not to play with fire.
“ As President Trump has said, ‘economic security is national security.’ This principle is especially important in public safety and critical infrastructure, where the technology countries choose directly impacts the sustainability, sovereignty, and security of citizens ,” the US envoy stated.
In its post on social media, the embassy has highlighted this very message, which is the same as many other messages given before when it came to the Chinese threat, especially in the field of technology. Let's not forget that Rama tried to give the Chinese the 5G network, but the US stopped it.
VanHorn himself has sent clear messages several times that China should have no place in Albania. Instead of building this line requested by strategic partners, Rama decides to publicly promote China as a power “hungry for trade” and valued as a partner by the “smartest traders.”
