Gaza, a concentration camp of the modern world...
At around 6 am on June 8, in the southern Gaza Strip near Rafah, another tragic episode shocked international public opinion: Israeli forces opened fire on Palestinian civilians waiting for food aid, leaving at least 5 dead and over 70 injured. Images circulating on social media show bodies lying on the ground, bloody women and children, and ambulance sirens carrying the last breath of a society heading towards systematic extermination.
Israel claims to have fired “with warning” at “persons displaying threatening behavior.” But the facts speak differently. According to the testimonies of doctors and international humanitarian organizations, the attack came without warning, on unarmed civilians, mostly women and children, who were searching for food and water, in one of the most hungry areas on the planet.
Is the welfare system a political mask?
Since May 27, aid to Gaza has no longer been distributed by the UN, but by a new entity: the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), set up by Israel and the US. This “new humanitarian structure” is being implemented under the protection of Israeli troops and private American contractors. In just 12 days, this system has produced over 115 deaths and 600 injuries in food lines. Are these aid points or dangerous traps for the systematic elimination of civilians?
Doctors Without Borders reports cases of civilians being shot by drones, tanks and helicopters while trying to get a bag of flour or a few cartons of water. And while these numbers grow, the international community is silent with a passivity that more closely resembles complicity.
Hospitals on the verge of collapse: Fuel at its lowest point
Two of the remaining functioning hospitals in northern Gaza, al-Shifa and al-Ahli, are facing a total fuel shortage. If supplies do not arrive within 48 hours, ventilation systems, incubators and operating rooms will cease to function.
The director of the Gaza Health Ministry warned: “If they don’t bring us fuel, we are leaving our patients to die slowly, in the dark.”
Geopolitical Analysis: Gaza as a Symbol of Global Powerlessness
This tragic event is not simply a military incident, but reflects a much darker reality: Gaza is being transformed into a modern concentration camp, managed with technology, bureaucracy, and cynical international diplomacy.
The US is using "humanitarian aid" as a moral shield to justify its presence and intervention, while the UN is lowering its voice in every diplomatic forum to maintain the status quo. Albania and other small countries should raise their voices in international forums to demand:
An independent investigation into the mass killings,
Returning aid management to the UN and not to entities linked to the warring parties,
Returning dignity to Gaza's civilians.
Instead of an epilogue: Can one feed on fear?
In Gaza, bread has become a luxury, water a danger, and life itself a crime without a perpetrator. While the world is left with only one question: who is more guilty: the one who pulls the trigger, or those who cover it with silence? / Pamphlet
