Even though 12 weeks have passed since the candidates were introduced, Tërmet Peçi remembered to react today.
Rama fielded a candidate in the Gjirokastra area, forcing him to resign from his position as mayor of Tepelena. Tërmeti, who is known for his rhetoric, promises to bring Tepelena and Gjirokastra into the EU.
" I have submitted my resignation as Mayor of Tepelena and at the same time I have responded to the invitation of the Prime Minister, Mr. Edi Rama, to be part of the race on May 11, and to represent Tepelena and the entire Gjirokastra region in the Albanian Parliament. This is a great privilege for me, but above all a great responsibility towards you, the people of Tepelena wherever you are, who have seen hope in us - in me, in the Prime Minister and in the Socialist Party. My humble gratitude for your support! I am convinced that we will be together again for an even bigger and more beautiful battle! To bring Tepelena, the Gjirokastra region and Albania faster into the great European family ", he writes.
