For the first time in 20 years, Tropoja has "seen" a Minister of the Interior visiting.
Minister Taulant Balla today visited Tropoja, where he had with him a long list of serious murders that were recorded years ago. Balla met with the police officers at the Tropoja Police Station, where he asked to clarify the murders of 1997, 1998 and the following years.
"Next year we will have more tourists, responsibility must be increased. Investigating past events and ending impunity should be the main focus. Even the crimes of the past, mainly those against the person's property, we must continue the investigative work. We should not rejoice in the fact that now we do not have criminal events, but we have the responsibility to do justice. The public appreciates us for every step we take in this direction as well", said Balla during the visit to Tropoja.
We recall that the sensational murders recorded in 1997 to 2000 are those of Haklaj, where Halil, Shkëlqim, Fatmir and Ylli Haklaj were executed.
Aishe Haklaj, the older sister of the Haklaj family, in April of this year appeared in SPAK, where she sued Sali Berisha and 15 others, who are accused of being an armed bank and a criminal organization that were directed and implemented the orders of the former prime minister.
And it looks like Balla is openly challenging Sali Berisha with his Tropoja with this move.
