Zeqir Kordhoni has reacted in a television studio to the threats and the fight for the mandate, through a message. According to him, Adriatik Lapaj has lied to him, after he had promised that if the coalition would only get one mandate, he would resign. The failure to keep the promise is seen by Kordhoni as a mockery that he cannot accept.
"Adriatiku lied to us! I am a simple man with 1000 problems, but I got involved in this campaign because I believed that we were changing Albania. When Adriatiku told us that we were only getting one mandate, I would resign, I believed him. I went out in the sun and rain, collected signatures, distributed leaflets, organized meetings, stayed up all night counting to save the votes, just so that we could win. As I had told him, on May 11 I signed my resignation.
But, when I saw that Adriatiku hid and didn't keep his word, I felt used. I'm not a fool for anyone to make fun of me. I don't eat grass. When I went to the CEC, Adriatiku, instead of reflecting, behaved like a gangster. I don't want to become an MP, but no one can step on me. Adriatiku and everyone should understand that they can't make fun of people like that. Either say your word and keep it... or (you know what) ," Kordhoni commented on "Off the Record" on A2 CNN.
