Reimbursable medicines, Berisha: After May 11, Doshi will be waxed

From Fushë Kruja, where he held the next electoral meeting in the framework of the May 11 parliamentary elections, Democratic leader Sali Berisha warned that in case of victory, his government will install in Albania the list of reimbursement of medicines that the Italian Republic has.

In this context, Berisha warned Tom Doshi and Vilma Nushi that they would both be closed down and would be ostracized.

"I am a doctor. Even if I were not a doctor, a person could never agree to leave hospitals without medicine. These people have crossed every line. Who are they leaving without medicine? The patients of the Oncology Department. They themselves admit that it is a crime against humanity.

Leaving him without medicine, in the grip of a disease like that, is a crime against humanity. Because he has one thing. He never accepts responsibility himself.

Can a state allow people, members of its society, members of its nation, to go without medicines because they are expensive? No, it cannot. They are expensive, and they are affordable. They are completely affordable.

We used to buy them. They were expensive, but they couldn't exist. The human mind can't accept leaving them without medicine there. Those medicines are basic. These ones stay. Doctors taking the sick on the phone: there's no medicine for two months, the equipment doesn't work for three months. None of the main equipment works there. Why? Just so they can go pay outside, to private people.

Crime! So, it comes out later. They published it themselves two weeks ago. The Institute of Statistics found that Albanians pay 820 million euros per year for health care. We are the nation that eats the most bread in Europe. But we pay 220 million for bread. We pay 820 million for medicines. Can you guess what kind of fine this is on citizens?

This fine, either they don't have it and they don't take it. Those who have it ask children outside, people outside: help me, they lend a hand, or they sell what they have, etc. in succession. This ends.

We will install in Albania the list of reimbursement of medicines that the Italian Republic has. Absolutely.

Let it cost as much as it wants. Albanians in Albania will have that list.

We are not saying that we will take the salaries of the Italians, no. But, when it comes to medicines, we will be the same as them. We will take the medicines that they get at the pharmacy, and we will never sell medicines that are not sold in two EU member states.

"Doshi and Nushi are both closed, waxed," said Berisha.
