Democratic Party MP Lefter Gështenja has stated that there are 15 SP MPs involved in the incinerator affair and that they will have to give up their immunity and appear before the law.
Likewise, Gështenja repeated once again that the incinerator of Elbasan, Tirana and Fier should be investigated as a complete issue and not a separate one, since even though at different times the same group of people benefits there.
" It is the biggest affair in 113 years of statehood in our history as a nation. It has never happened before that 400 or so million euros were swallowed up in this way. I would like from the law enforcement bodies, from SPAK but also from other bodies, that this issue be treated as a whole. The incinerators of Fier, Elbasan and Tirana cannot be separated separately. Although they were carried out at different times, we are dealing with the same group of beneficiaries who have had access to the granting of these concessions. Beneficiaries are 2-3 people who belong to the part of the concessionaires, and the people involved in this affair are the entire chain that I mentioned, local government-central government.
There are 15 SP deputies involved in the incinerator affair. They are deputies today, someone was the mayor of the Municipal Council, someone was a former mayor, someone was a former minister, they were in different positions. They must waive their immunity and stand trial. Local government leaders who are the initiators either in Elbasan, Fier or Tirana for starting the procedures cannot be excluded. Furthermore, Gështenja said that the decision for the concession of Tirana was taken only by the mayor, Erion Veliaj and not by the Municipal Council, and added that the participating municipalities of the district, which should have given their consent, were not asked.

When the contract was concluded, the municipalities did not give consent for this contract. Whether Rrogozhina, Kavaja, Vora or Kamza has a landfill ," he said.
