The Democratic Party has begun purging members who supported former MP Ervin Salianji, who came out against Sali Berisha and held several rallies with the Democrats.
After the support they gave to Salianj, the head of the group of advisors in the Durrës Municipal Council, Dritan Burgija, was expelled from the party with the signature of Flamur Noka.
In the decision obtained exclusively by Report TV, it is stated that the group of Municipal Councilors in Durrës proposes Ardian Muka as the candidate for mayor. The DP has also excluded Arlind Boshku from the group of councilors, who also holds the position of secretary of the DP branch in Durrës.

ON THE CHANGES IN THE GROUP OF DPA COUNCILORS IN THE DURRA MUNICIPAL COUNCIL"
In support of articles 24, 40 and 48 of the DPA statute and the Internal Regulations, the Code of Conduct, Ethics and Integrity of the DPA, and article 33 of Law no. 139/2015 "On Local Self-Government",
DECIDED:
Mr. Dritan Burgija and Mr. Arlind Boshku are excluded from the DPA Municipal Councilors Group in the Municipality of Durrës in accordance with the DPA Statute, article 24, points 1 and 2, and in violation of article IV, point 2 of the Internal Regulations;
We propose to the group of Municipal Councilors Mr. Ardian Muka as candidate for Chairman of the Group of Municipal Councilors of the Democratic Party of Albania in the Durrës Municipal Council.
