Prime Minister Edi Rama expressed his determination to continue without obstacles the process of Albania's integration into the European Union, which he considered a path of no return, regardless of whether it is a downhill path or not.
On Europe Day, Rama stated that the European Union is the dream of Albanians, while emphasizing that we are in the final steps of a history that has lasted for centuries.
"For us Albanians, Europe remains even in these cloudy times what it was when it was unattainable, except among those weak waves that illegal screens brought from outside Albania to our television screens. Europe remains for us a dream and a promised land, an unchanging national trust and an unchanging political mission."
"Not that we are naive, nor that we have illusions, but that we know very well, better than anyone else on this continent, what it means to live isolated and surrounded by walls to protect ourselves from Europe ," said Rama.
The Prime Minister said that there is no party in Europe, but also beyond, that can win a qualified majority in elections using the European Union flag. In this context, he said that this shows that Albanians, in an absolute majority, believe in the EU and the country's integration into the European family.
And within the framework of the integration process, Rama said that the rule of law cannot be negotiated, while evaluating the justice reform as unique for the entire Region.
" It would be impossible to undertake and no longer implement such a reform with all the understandable difficulties, if we did not have Europe as a dream and promised land, as an irreplaceable trust and mission, and on the other hand if we did not have the EU as an inseparable partner on this path where the EU's knowledge transferred to us on how a country can turn into an architecture of justice, is something that cannot be bought and thought about outside the perimeter of Europe. Being in the EU is an opportunity.
"The EU guarantees the perimeter of the rule of law. The rule of law cannot be negotiated, but only respected when you have it and built when you don't have it ," said Rama. /Pamphlet/
Ky eshte bere si ata kapitenet e anijeve lundruese qe kane ne dollap te gjithe flamuret e shteteve. Kur lundrojne ne ujerat e nje shteti udhetojne me flamurin e atij shteti. Lum si ne per kapedanin tone te "mencur".
