"There is no authoritarianism within the Socialist Party," declared MP Erion Braçe, adding that there is imposition.
He acknowledged that imposing decisions without discussion is a serious problem, underlining that there are discussions within the SP, both in high and low tones.
" There is no authoritarianism within the SP. There is imposition and when it comes without debate it is a very big problem. There is debate in the whole party, some loudly and some softly. Even at home, voices are raised, what problem does this create for society? I respect my home and it is not in my character to take what I say outside. I do not want to do it. What do I give to the SP? Inside, I will give it a democratic form ," he said in "Top Story".
He stated that he will not replace Socialist leader Edi Rama and that he does not plan to be his successor.
" I am not looking to change Rama. I do not intend, nor have I sought to change Edi Rama or for me to take it upon myself to change him. This in Tirana has been to the detriment of the capital, I do not plan to be Rama's successor ," he said.
Braçe also spoke about his ambition for mayor of Tirana. He emphasized that everything should come through an open and honest process within the party. Meanwhile, regarding Ogerta Manastirliu, he said that if she leaves the process, then let her represent the SP, while adding that he does not deal with individuals.
He called for a real and transparent process for selecting the candidate, unlike the previous one which, according to him, was only formal.
