Former Democratic MP, Ervin Salianji, has stated that his movement has only one goal, for the DP to return as the winner of the elections. He said that in order to achieve victory, several damaged pillars must be restored, such as the lack of meritocracy to advance further in the party.
"The goal is for the DP to win the elections, and as we are, we cannot win them. The DP must return some of the columns that have damaged the DP. I ask for there to be meritocracy so that careers in the DP advance on the basis of some principles. Let's all decide together that whoever comes out first with a vote should be this one. At this stage, I have some thoughts and I am asking other democrats. To be fair, there has been no similar case. Competition is one thing and meeting with democrats is another ," he said in an interview for 'News24'.
Salianji further underlined that it is very important for the Democratic Party to unite, while emphasizing that he has made prison for this party and that his interest is the same as that of the DP, the overthrow of Rama.
"My position is that the DP is the winner, I have it personally because I went to prison for this party. My personal interest is that Rama be overthrown the day before. I feel the suffering that the Democrats and society are experiencing. I am talking about how to improve the DP, I have this discussion. There are two positions, one is that Rama steals our elections, I say that we cannot say all the time that Rama cannot win and for this I say that we defeat Rama starting from ourselves. We have not decided on any discussion about what will happen with Mr. Berisha, but about some problems that exist in the DP. That is why I say it must be renewed. We are making efforts for unity ", said Salianji.
