MP Tritan Shehu is involved in a debate with the head of the Committee for Foreign Policy, Mimi Kodhelin.
After the answers that the candidate for Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Albania in the State of Israel, Meri Kumbe, gave the floor to the deputies of the Commission in this hearing.
PD MP Tritan Shehu intervened saying that he did not receive an answer to his question.
Earlier Shehu asked Kumbe if Albania will open its embassy in Jerusalem, but the candidate did not give an answer.
After Shehu's reply, the head of the Commission, Mimi Kodheli, reacted, who told Kumbe that she was suggesting not to answer.
Debate:
Shehu: I see very few of the people who represent diplomacy. He will become an ambassador, so he works and pursues a diplomatic career. In this way you have disabled your diplomatic career. By taking the top of ambassadorships from individuals who are not connected and are not part of diplomacy, you destroy Diplomacy. Why not have parts from within the country, which are part of diplomacy. This really makes you look at the process with skepticism.
My question is political, we are in the commission, my question was clear, it has a deep political content and expresses the ambassador's political position. Our ambassador's jacket is deeply political.
Mimi Kodheli: I invite you not to answer the question.
Shehu: I expect an answer at any moment, I want an answer, otherwise it is pointless to continue this meeting. Like an ostrich, stick your head in.
Kodheli: I too have my right to make comments. You are stuck in class, take notes. Don't just be the protagonist.
