The deputy of the Socialist Party, Etilda Gjonaj, has expressed her position regarding the request for the arrest of Arben Ahmetaj.
In a statement to journalists from outside the Assembly, Gjonaj underlined that the justice bodies will not be prevented from doing their work. Further, she expressed that she feels bad that their colleague will go to prison, but added that this is already a matter for justice.
"There was a decision yesterday in the Council of Mandates, and the will is very clear to leave the judicial bodies to do their work. Personally, I feel bad, but as long as it is a matter that belongs to justice, we will implement what justice has decided", said Gjonaj.
We remind you that a day ago, the Council of Mandates decided to give authorization to SPAK for the arrest and control of Ahmetaj's apartment.
The majority and the opposition in the Council, although with different reports, were in a common position regarding the granting of authorization for SPAK's request.
