Deputy of the Democratic Party Edi Paloka spoke about the approval of the anti-corruption commission by the SP.
He said that only the technical government brings free elections and fights corruption in the country.
According to him, corruption cannot be fought with "a ridiculous commission". Paloka emphasizes that internationals have requested the participation of the opposition in this commission.
"I must clarify that the decision-making group was in unison. We decided yesterday that this committee will not be voted on. There were ideas and that of the technical government was beaten as an opinion in the case when the internationals were involved in the discussion, the idea that whether the internationals ask us to participate in this commission or not, the logic that was followed was that for them we should participate that there are still illusions that together corruption must be fought with this government. In order to have a realistic act, to produce something, electoral corruption must disappear, and for electoral corruption to disappear, the technical government is a necessary condition to guarantee free elections. If the participation of the opposition is required, then we must demand seriousness from the internationals and if we really want to fight corruption and the opposition is not done with a ridiculous commission. I know that some of the representatives of the embassies have asked the SP group that if they seek support from the international community, it should be the opposition as well and the opinion of the opposition should be taken. Yesterday Lindita Nikolla urgently called the leaders of the groups to call it a consultation with the opposition and today pass it only with their votes ", he said to "A2 CNN".
Edi Paloka said that corruption cannot be fought by a government that produces corruption.
"We have been denouncing for 12 years, whether or not we are present in a facade commission does not prevent us from continuing the denunciations, the problem here is that no one listens to the denunciations of the opposition. Do you think that an increased corruption in the parliament will fight corruption? Will the government fight its own corruption? This is not a commission to fight the commission because it falls to us to be in co-governance?" , he continued.
The democratic deputy emphasized that the technical government is a condition of the opposition and not a bargain.
"If someone is serious and this is not Rama, but I'm talking about the internationals, then a technical government to hold free elections in this country. This is not a bargain, it is a condition. If we want to achieve this goal of fighting corruption and preparing Albania for the EU, these are the steps. If there is seriousness, then it is this way and not the establishment of a farcical commission. The solution is the technical government, allowing free elections in this country and the government that will emerge will realize all these steps and goals, and Rama cannot do that when he has captured all the institutions, the facts of crime and corruption are coming out. they only have one head, Edi Rama. With Rama, we are fighting corruption. It is not achieved through a commission. In order to achieve that goal, the fight against corruption and the creation of conditions for the EU are done with these steps ," said the DP deputy.
He said that it will be tragic if Fatmir Xhafaj takes the leadership of the anti-corruption commission. According to him, Rama can do this on purpose.
"This one is tragic. Even Rama will not put Xhafa, however Xhafaj has been mentioned as the man who hugged Enver Hoxha, has his brother imprisoned, destroyed the Albanian justice system, now he wants to lead this commission. It could be Xhafaj, it could also be Comrade Enver. He is dead, but these want to take his place. His symbol is significant that he can even do this on purpose. There are also conspiracy theories," he concluded.
