The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, held a conference with journalists today, where he was asked about his return to public speaking, a period which coincides with the time after the arrest of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
He said that he does not connect the two events together, as he says that the DP has worked on the structuring of the party.
Basha says that he has personally held 250 meetings across the country with citizens and supporters, saying that he has been connecting the broken wires.
According to him, the democrats were in a telenovela where the actors, director and television viewers were the opposition politicians themselves, while he emphasized that his group was not part of the latter.
"I would not connect the two events with each other, we worked on the structuring of the Democratic Party. Personally, I have been in 250 meetings all over Albania to connect the wires broken by DP with the problems of the people and the people.
We were in a telenovela where the actors, director and television viewers were the opposition politicians themselves. These months have served for DP to deal with its organization and raise the foundations again to start the process of creating our offer for citizens.
PD and I have been in full swing, but I wasn't part of the soap opera where who makes fun of the most to create fog to hide behind.
