The President of DP, Lulzim Basha, at the press conference, answered the question about the absence in the plenary session where it was voted to remove the immunity of the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, after the request of SPAK.
He stated that he was absent that day, due to the situation in which the Assembly was located and the chaos created by the Re-establishment.
He further added that the position of DP was made clear by Enkelejd Alibeaj at the meeting of the council of mandates where he came out with a report recommending the removal of Berisha's immunity.
" The DP's decision is clear, we have said from the beginning that we will vote for anyone who is requested to remove immunity. Alibeaj clarified the DP's decision at the mandates committee meeting. We would be in the parliament, but the parliament has not functioned as such for a long time. On that day, the parliament was at its worst.
We had a group of people who created smoke and in turn the wolf who used this smoke. I am reminding you once again of our initiative to remove immunity" , said Basha.
