Out of 140 MPs in total, 138 MPs are sworn in, after Tom Doshi and Sabina Jorgo have given up their mandates.
The new MPs have been sworn in to the Assembly.
Out of 140 MPs in total, 138 were sworn in, after 2 elected members announced that they had resigned from their mandate. They are Tom Doshi and Sabina Jorgo, both from the PSD.
After these two resignations, the replacements will be from the PSD's open list.
Meanwhile, the Parliament will also vote on the new Speaker of the Assembly. The majority has proposed Niko Pelesh, who is expected to be voted for only by the majority, as the opposition is not expected to participate in this vote.
The session is currently chaired by Vasil Llajo of the Socialist Party, as the oldest MP, after Sali Berisha and Tritan Shehu of the Democratic Party, because the latter two refused to open the session.
