The Central Election Commission determined this Tuesday how the political party commissioners who will administer the May 11 elections will be divided.
Without debates and claims from political parties, the CEC determined that two of the CEAZ members would be proposed by the Socialist Party, as well as the Democratic Party.
The Freedom Party as the opposition force and Tom Doshi's Social Democratic Party as the parliamentary majority force will have the right to propose one member each.
Meanwhile, the seventh member of the CEAZ was allocated by lot, with the Socialist Party proposing them in even-numbered electoral administration zones, while the Democratic Party proposed them in odd-numbered ones, BIRN reports.
Political parties were not present at the meeting, as the debate on the allocation of members had been conducted through correspondence earlier.
The debate began with a document signed by Elisa Spiropali, who in a response to the CEC, defined Tom Doshi's PSD as a parliamentary minority.
Following the Democratic Party's complaint and the information that the Assembly forwarded to the CEC, the PSD was classified as the majority party because it had unanimously voted for the laws and the socialist political program.
In this way, the Socialists were unable to take all 3 members of the CEAZ who belonged to the parliamentary majority, dividing them with their ally Tom Doshi.
