"CEC is blocking the process on Rama's orders", Berisha:

On May 11, Albanian emigrants will exercise their right to vote for the first time. DP leader Sali Berisha has accused the CEC, saying that the majority gives it orders to prevent the registration of Albanians abroad.

"First, the number of operators handling the data of registered voters is required. The CEC has pledged that this increase will happen immediately, but keep in mind that the CEC is controlled, in one way or another, by the SP, which is doing everything it can to delay this process."

"There is a hesitation from the socialists, because for absurd reasons, the biometric documents of EU member states, now is the time for biometrics, cannot be put into question in an absolute manner by the Albanian authorities ," Berisha said.

Berisha did not spare his attacks even on the Constitutional Court, which a day earlier decided to dismiss his appeal against the house arrest measure. In its argument, the court said that the measure given to the leader of the democratic party was legitimate since he had opposed the previous measure of compulsory appearance, and in these conditions the measure was necessary, proportional and in function of appropriateness and severity.

"It is a court that is the most political court. This is a fact. It takes orders from Edi Rrama, from Engjëll Agaçi. You will issue this this way, you will issue that that way.

These are becoming ridiculous. Here they say that Irena with 5 surnames has been tried, but she has not been tried. Three weeks ago they said that she has not been tried. It is in complete chaos. It is a very chaotic court. It does not even respect the most basic principles of conflict of interest. The most basic principles of rights. It judges things that we have not judged.

"It's useless, it's in chaos. That's what it is, a department of the SP," Berisha said.

Berisha himself has been granted temporary freedom since the end of November last year, by decision of the Special Court and the Special Court of Appeals, which has imposed an obligation on him to appear twice a week.
