Although the democratic parliamentary group has not decided whether or not to become part of the special parliamentary committee for reforms, proposed by the majority, the democratic deputy Tomorr Alizoti is against it.
" The current prime minister is not an institutional person. I find these kinds of invitations funny because I don't see the problem in his invitation, but in Edi Rama himself ," said Alizoti.
In the interview given to RTSH, Alizoti expressed skepticism about the final product of the investigative commissions or the agreement of the parties on the new electoral code in the dialogue group. The only success he can see so far, for the peace pact between the majority and the opposition, is the legitimacy of the real opposition.
" Even with partial help from internationals and with help from Rama himself, their legitimacy has been in focus. My perception was that the opposition managed to legitimize itself among the international community and accept these types of commissions. commissions in Albania have never done work. This is my belief since our country does not have a functioning democracy ," said Alizoti.
In order to legitimize the opposition, Alizoti said that it is necessary to put an end to what he qualifies as hostage-taking of the affiliation of the DP seal.
" This is a shame and if it is not resolved within a few months, then Albania will no longer have courts ," said the deputy.
He suggests to the democratic parliamentary group to denounce to the international community not only the issue of the Seal of the DP, but also the measure of the arrest of the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, as strictly political.
" Distribute a document to the offices of Europe and the world to demand the release of Berisha, the right of the opposition. His isolation shows that Albania is a country that still has political imprisonment. We also demand the return of the democratic seal .
Tomor Alizoti says that the opposition is united, but it is difficult to give a definition for Basha's role in this regard. "And folly has an end, and the end of this has passed. I have nothing to say about that ," he added.
Democratic MP Tomor Alizoti said that the base of the Democrats is united and as such will enter the next elections, with or without changes to the electoral code.
