The preliminary hearing at the Criminal Court for former President Ilir Meta has been postponed to October 9, at 10:00.
Today's session, which was chaired by Irena Gjoka, began at 10:00, but was postponed due to the absence of Kujtim Cakrasni, Ilir Meta's lawyer, after he underwent surgery in Italy.
"Former President Meta was not present, everyone else was, even my mother was not," said Monika Kryemadhi after the session was adjourned.
The court will decide whether the file will proceed to a full trial, be returned for additional investigations to SPAK, or the investigation will be dismissed.
Kryemadhi also said that SPAK has intimidated the witnesses in the case.

There are many things and very soon I will be on all the shows to follow the entire file step by step. SPAK has stated that during the investigations, suspected corruption schemes and abuse of power were uncovered. In addition to Meta and his wife, Monika Kryemadhi, three other people have been sent to trial.
The investigations against Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi were launched by SPAK in 2023, including several related issues: the CEZ-DIA affair, the suspicious lobbying of the SMI in the US and the declaration of assets. According to SPAK, during the investigations, suspected corruption schemes, money laundering and non-declaration of assets were discovered.
The investigations were closed on August 29, while Meta and Kryemadhi face charges of passive corruption, money laundering, and failure to declare assets.
