The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, was invited to the show "Opinion" this Thursday. In front of journalists Blendi Fevziu, Mirela Milori and Neritan Sejamini, Berisha answered a series of questions as we are on the eve of the campaign for the May 11 elections.
One of the questions also concerned Chris LaCivita, the "co-architect" of Trump's victory in the US, who will lead the DP campaign. Berisha said that LaCivita will come to Albania as soon as the campaign opens.
He denied reports that LaCivita would come with an invitation for the Democratic leader to visit the US. Berisha said he is an electoral consultant and not a lobbyist.
Blendi Fevziu: [Chris] When will LaCivita come?
Sali Berisha: [LaCivita] will come these days when the campaign opens and we are in daily online communication with him.
Blendi Fevziu: There was talk that he would come with an invitation for you to visit the USA?
Sali Berisha: Absolutely never.
Blendi Fevziu : It wasn't true?
Sali Berisha: It is not true that he is an electoral consultant.
Blendi Fevziu: You don't speak on behalf of the US government?
Sali Berisha: He is not a lobbyist. He is the co-chair of the Republican National Committee
Blendi Fevziu: When you talked to him, he gave you hope that you could win these elections.
Sali Berisha: He's never even questioned it. He knows it. He has a feeling. Don't even ask him. He sees it.
Blendi Fevziu: Do you remember what Rama called him, a Trumpist?
Mirela Milori: A tourist who will take the money and leave.
Sali Berisha: It means a victor then. If he said that, they honor him with that.
