Empty parliament, most MPs leave the hall

Only 1 hour and 30 minutes after the start of the parliament, the vast majority of the deputies have left. Their chairs are now empty, while on the podium is the DP deputy, Jorida Tabaku, who is presenting arguments regarding the Investment Corporation, an interpellation requested with Prime Minister Edi Rama, but the latter has delegated it to the Minister of Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj.

Today, the Democratic Party has summoned Interior Minister Besfort Lamallari for an interpellation.

Democratic MP Klevis Balliu said that incriminating crime in the ranks of the blue uniforms is not a political accusation, adding that this violates national security. Balliu brought up the case of Oltion Bistri or Henrigert Mitri, former agents involved in drug trafficking, or the AMP agent who was in the car with Gilmando Dani at the time of the mafia assassination in Rinas.

The accusations were dismissed by Interior Minister Besfort Lamallari, who said that the State Police does not have to become part of political narratives and mudslinging. The minister underlined that there is still much work to be done and that progress against crime and corruption has been steady. Lamallari said that we have a 50% reduction in murders.

Lamallari will then answer questions from MP Arjan Ndoja, as well as MP Erald Kapri.

Today's session also discussed the US Embassy's warning about threats from Iran.
