Minister of Defense, Ermal Nufi, has reacted after the US embassy in Tirana warned of possible attacks from Iran, emphasizing that there is no room for panic.
Speaking to the media before entering the Assembly, he explained that this warning is not isolated to Albania, but has been distributed by all American embassies in Europe, in the context of the tense situation in the Middle East.
According to him, "there is no room for concern," adding that the embassy's statement is related to standard security procedures for American citizens.
The Minister also emphasized that "there is definitely room for concern about security, but this is timeless," especially in an uncertain global context.
He added that the warning was given by all American embassies in Europe, not just the one in Tirana, at a time of conflict in the Middle East.
"There is no need to worry. The American Embassy has made its statement in accordance with the security measures they have for American citizens. There is definitely room for concern about security, but this is always the case, especially at a time when the world is in such a situation."
"I believe this request has gone to all embassies in Europe, to all American citizens across the continent, not just to Albania. This information has definitely been given to Albania as well because we have maintained a regime against a regime that has violated Albanian national interests ," said Minister Nufi.
