Berisha admitted that if the elections were free, resigning would have been a sound act and he would have done so.
"The DP determines the fate of its leaders and representatives through voting. Losing the elections is the soundest criterion for the resignation of those who lead, but in conditions where the elections are a farce and not normal elections, such an act would serve the dictator and those who invent pluralism, would serve the dictator ," he said.
The Democratic Leader also commented on the meeting between Ervin Salianj and Ilir Alimehmeti with the most voted candidates from the primaries and May 11.
Berisha said that he met with or called the primary candidates, while adding that both Salianji and Alimehmeti were in his office at the blue headquarters.
"I have met or called the candidates for the primaries. Salianji himself has been to this office several times, Alimehmeti even more often. In this context, no one is excluded in this party. There has been a serious problem, our total commitment to protecting the vote. If you recall my statements, there have been 12, the first with Edi Rama there is no election, but I have made a commitment that I will protect the vote," said Berisha.
