Prime Minister Edi Rama has published a photo album from the ceremony held this evening, November 28, at the Presidency, on the occasion of the 113th anniversary of the declaration of Albania's Independence.
"The Traditional Red and Black Independence Day Evening, organized tonight as beautifully as ever under the auspices of the President of the Republic, with the meaningful presence of the President of Kosovo," Rama writes.
Meanwhile, during his welcoming speech, President Bajram Begaj emphasized the need for a new political culture in the country, prioritizing national interest over party interest.
"We need a new political culture, one that puts national and citizen interest above party interest. We need to focus on our national priorities, which move the country forward. Only united in a great national goal can we avoid the divisions that delay our common journey," he said.
The President emphasized the importance of every institution and citizen in the process of reforms and European integration, emphasizing that the contribution of each is irreplaceable.
Next, he recalled the legacy of the fathers of Independence:
"113 years ago, our ancestors left us a precious legacy: to preserve our identity, strengthen our state and protect our freedom. Our task today is to take this legacy to another level, to make Albania just, secure, modern and European. For this we need the courage of Vlora 1912, the wisdom of Ismail Qemali and the will of the Albanian people."
The ceremony continued with toasts and musical and artistic performances with patriotic motifs, bringing a solemn and festive atmosphere to this significant day for the Albanian nation.
