The deputy of the Democratic Party, Dhurata Çupi, has commented on the approval of the law on Protected Areas, which was voted today in the Assembly.
She said that the emergency move by the government is a flagrant violation of the law.
According to Çup, this law seriously affects the protected areas as towers will be built in them and the environment will be polluted.
"Passing without procedures in sessions where they exploit the lack of normality is intolerable and for this there have been reactions from the opposition and international partners. It is depressing how we are passing these laws. There is nothing left unconquered by this government; the air has been sold, the sea has been sold, there were some areas protected by law and these were occupied by this government. This law seriously infringes on protected areas. Investments will be made there, towers will be erected, restaurants will be built. It is a clientelistic law that will harm the environment; there will be meatballs, smoke and brandy" , said Çupi for "Euronews Albania".
