Democratic MP Gazment Bardhi has commented on the current situation among the Democrats, where the latter are on the verge of joining Berisha's group.
Bardhi said that he has lost the battle against former Prime Minister Berisha. He said that all the Democrats fought a vicious war within the Democratic Party, which looking back now was wrong, but it was because they believed they had to go a different way.
The existence of the Democratic Party was questioned. In politics, there is a time to fight for the things you believe in, there is a time to reflect and see the outcome of this battle, and there is a time to make decisions. What happened to me and my colleagues is exactly this. We have fought because we thought it is a way.
I believed that the best interest of the Democrats was to go another way. I fought for this for two years. The strategy has changed when I see that from my struggle and from the struggle of other groups, attempts are being made to weaken the Democratic Party.
You have to make a choice depending on the circumstances. We have all made the mistake of going down a path because of the faith we had. I have apologized and I have no complex. I have lost that battle. all of us have been wronged by the fierce war within the Democratic Party.', he told Euronews Albania.
