Journalist Arbër Hitaj debated with the head of the Parliamentary group of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, in the studio of the show "Now with Erla Mëhillin" in Euronews Albania, regarding the "pact" that led to the merger between Rithemelim and Bardhi's group. .
Hitaj addressed Bardhi, saying that he has made an agreement with Berisha, to be the candidate for prime minister in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
But on the other hand, Bardhi rejected this, saying that the only pact he has made with Berisha is the uncompromising fight against Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Bardhi: The only pact I have with Berisha is the fight against Edi Rama. Some may not like it, but…
Hitaj: Struggle to stay in the opposition again?
Bardhi: No no no, fight to defeat Edi Rama. Rama is an autocrat who is trying to extinguish the opposition, he treats the opposition people as enemies.
Hitaj: Either you are politically naive, or you are making a mistake for the second time. The first time Basha threw it away, he said it was sold to Rama.
Bardhi: The only advice I had for Basha is to return to oppositionism.
Hitaj: They made a pact and they don't tell us.
Bardhi: Well, you were in a meeting with us?
Hitaj: The pact is that you will be the candidate for prime minister in the best case and in the worst case, you will be on the safe list.
Bardhi: I have never fought to be on the safe list.
