Maliqi requests urgent meeting at the CEC regarding Hajdari: We will take the

The opposition candidate for the Municipality of Kuçova, Lefter Maliqi, has appeared before the Central Election Commission, where he has submitted for the second time a request for an urgent meeting regarding the mandate of Mayor Kreshnik Hajdari.

Maliqi is demanding that Hajdar's mandate be declared invalid and warns that he will pursue the matter all the way to the Electoral College, as well as through new reports to SPAK.

"I am standing by the CEC with the second request for an urgent meeting to dismiss Kreshnik Hajdari. We are requesting the invalidity of his mandate and we will pursue this battle all the way to the Electoral College, even with lawsuits or new requests to SPAK, if there are obstacles," declared Maliqi.

He announced that an expansion of the administrative investigation has been requested and that the CEC obtain full information on Hajdar's status, as well as re-evaluate the documentation of the "Together We Win" coalition regarding the criminal conviction in Greece of the mayor of Kuçova.

According to Maliqi, the CEC should take steps to declare Hajdar's mandate illegal. He also accused the institutions of dragging out the process, claiming that for more than three years "time has been bought due to oligarchic interference and dirty money."

Maliqi recalled that the opposition had demanded Hajdar's dismissal and non-candidate status since 2023. According to him, the CEC passed the case for an in-depth investigation, but then upheld the mayor's mandate, while the KAS overturned the institution's decision.

"I am at the CEC, with the second request for an urgent meeting to dismiss Kreshnik Hajdari, mayor of Kuçova. We are requesting the invalidity of his mandate, which we will pursue up to the Electoral College, and even if there is an obstacle, with a lawsuit, a new request to SPAK. We have requested the CEC to expand the administrative investigation and request information on Hajdari's status. To re-evaluate the documentation of the 'Together We Win' Coalition regarding the Greek criminal conviction for Hajdari. To take measures to declare the mayor's mandate illegal. We are addressing the chief commissioner that if a candidate convicted by a final decision were to appear today, would you allow his candidacy? Are you convinced by the SPAK criminal verdict that convicted Hajdari today?

It's been over 3 years since time was bought due to oligarchic interference and dirty money. You know that we have requested Hajdar's dismissal and non-candidate status in 2023. The CEC took the case for an in-depth investigation and the same response came, but the Central Commission defended Hajdar. We took it to the Constitutional Court, which overturned the CEC's decision. My bet is to return the free vote to the citizens of Kuçova. We will win this battle and we have won it morally. The city of Kuçova will turn into a construction site. Hajdar is finally gone, but a worthy leader must be put at the head of Kuçova. The law and only the law will prevail in this country! ", said Maliqi.
