Prime Minister Edi Rama, in an interview with Greek media, also spoke about the agreement with his Italian counterpart, Giorgia Meloni, regarding the establishment of immigrant centers in Albania.
Asked if Albania has financial benefits from this agreement, Rama says that we have not asked for money and there is no profit in this agreement for us. "We are doing this out of a sense of obligation to Italy, which has supported us a lot since the first day our country opened up to the world," Rama says .

It is not so, because there is no payment. We have not asked for money and there is no profit in this agreement for us. We are doing this out of a sense of obligation to Italy, which has supported us a lot since the first day our country opened up to the world. Italy was there for us when things were difficult and did not ask for anything in return. In fact, Italy reached into its pocket to help and support us. So they asked if it was possible and we said "yes".
